What Is Transpersonal Hypnotherapy?
This isn't stage hypnosis, and it isn't about being put under. Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, as taught by Holly Holmes-Meredith at the HCH Institute, is a gentle, heart-centered practice that helps you access your Higher Self — the part of you that holds your deepest wisdom and knows, with absolute clarity, what you need to heal.
In a relaxed, expanded state of awareness, your conscious and subconscious minds work together. Old patterns become visible. Stored emotions find release. And the wisdom you've always carried rises naturally to the surface.
This is not about being fixed from the outside. It's about awakening the healer already within you.

A Note on Hypnosis
What Hypnosis Actually Is
You've already experienced hypnosis countless times — driving somewhere familiar and arriving without remembering the route, getting lost in a book, falling into that half-awake space just before sleep. It's a natural state, not a supernatural one.
In a session, we simply use that state with intention. You remain fully aware and in control throughout. You can speak, move, ask questions, and end the session at any time. The only difference between everyday trance and hypnotherapy is that here, we're listening carefully to what your inner world wants you to know.
As Milton Erickson observed: trance is a common, everyday occurrence. We're not creating an unusual state — we're using a familiar one for something meaningful.
Common Questions About Transpersonal Hypnotherapy
How is this different from talk therapy?
Talk therapy works primarily with the conscious mind — what you can think, analyze, and articulate. Transpersonal Hypnotherapy goes deeper, into the subconscious where patterns actually live. Your Higher Self becomes a co-therapist, guiding the session from a place of absolute wisdom and integrity.
Will I lose control or go unconscious?
Not at all. You remain aware and present throughout — often more aware than usual, actually. Think of it as a deeply focused, receptive state. You're always in the driver's seat.
What if I can't be hypnotized?
Everyone can experience this natural state. Some people drop in quickly, others take a little longer to relax. That's perfectly fine — healing doesn't require you to go "deep." It just requires willingness.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends entirely on you and what you're working with. Some people experience meaningful shifts in a single session. Others benefit from a series of three to six sessions for deeper, layered work. We'll discuss this during your free consultation.
What if difficult emotions come up?
This is normal and expected, and I'm trained to hold space for whatever arises with care and skill. Your Higher Self will only bring forward what you're ready to work with. Nothing comes up that isn't ready to be seen.
